Our story

Charlotte's Home Care is a family-owned agency in Little Rock, built by one caregiver over fifteen years. We are small on purpose, and we intend to stay that way.

Founder & Administrator

Meet Charlotte Butler-Rice

My name is Charlotte Butler-Rice. I am a healthcare professional, administrator and community advocate with more than 25 years in home health care and supportive services. I began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing direct care in assisted living communities, nursing homes and human development centers. Those years taught me, first hand, what people need when daily life gets hard, and what it costs them to ask.
What started as a career became a calling. I started out working solo in 2011, then with a small team, without an official business name, just doing the work because I loved it. Word of mouth did the rest, and by 2016 I formalized what had grown into a family-owned, non-medical home care agency. Today we serve Little Rock and the surrounding Arkansas communities with care built around each person. I believe caregiving is more than a service. It is a relationship built on trust, respect and a sincere desire to make a difference in someone's life.

“Serving others is not just a job or duty. It is a calling that I wholeheartedly embrace.”
Charlotte Butler-Rice

More than a name

Why family-owned matters here

Home care is unusual among services in that quality depends almost entirely on one thing: whether the same person keeps coming back. Everything else in the brochure stops mattering when they do not.

Large agencies struggle with that. Staff turnover is high, schedules get filled by whoever is available, and a family can meet six caregivers in two months.

Being small is how we avoid it. The person who writes your care plan is the person who reads your message when something changes, and the caregiver who came last Tuesday is the one who comes next Tuesday.

It is not a marketing position. It is the operating model, and it is the reason we intend to stay this size.
