Caregiver Jobs in Little Rock

If you are the kind of person who notices what somebody needs before they ask, we would like to hear from you.

Why people stay

Why caregivers stick around

Caregiving has a turnover problem, and most of the reasons are avoidable. People leave because the schedule changes without warning, because nobody answers the phone, and because they are sent to a different house every week.

The same families

You build a real relationship instead of starting again every shift. It is better work, and it is better care.

Work close to home

We keep people near where they live wherever the schedule allows, rather than sending you across the region.

Schedules agreed, not sent

Your hours are arranged with you. An owner answers when you call, and your judgment is respected because you are the one in the house.

Caregiver — Charlotte's Home Care LLC

We are building a small team of caregivers to support seniors, adults living with a disability and veterans across Central Arkansas. The work is practical, personal and steady.

The work

What you will actually do

No two households are identical, but most shifts include some combination of the following.

Personal care

Help with bathing, dressing, grooming and moving safely around the home, at the client's own pace.

A meal, and company at it

Cooking something familiar and sitting down to eat together. People eat more in company, and it is often the best part of the visit.

Keeping the home liveable

Laundry, dishes and clear walkways. Not deep cleaning, but the things that decide whether a house is safe to move around in.

Getting out

Driving a client to an appointment, the store or the salon, and staying with them the whole way. Company is part of the trip.

Medication reminders

Prompting at the right time of day. Reminders only, never administering, and we are clear with everyone about that line.

Noticing, and saying so

You are in the house regularly, so you see change first. Reporting it the same day is part of the job, not an extra.

Requirements

What you will need

Tell us what you have done and what you are able to do. We will talk through the practical requirements with you directly rather than listing a wall of conditions here, because they differ depending on the households you would be working in.

The part we cannot train

Patience on a difficult morning. Turning up when you said you would. Treating somebody's home as theirs. Noticing the small change nobody mentioned. Those are the things we hire for.

Physical requirements

Caregiving is active work. Expect to be on your feet for most of a shift, to help someone move between bed and chair, to carry laundry and shopping, and to move around homes that may have stairs or narrow doorways. If you have a question about whether a specific task would be manageable for you, ask us before you apply rather than after.

Applying

How to apply

Send us your details through the contact form and mention that you are applying. Tell us your experience, the areas you can cover and the hours you are looking for.

Do I need previous experience?

Tell us what you have done. Some roles suit people with years behind them and some suit people who are new and genuinely want to learn.

Are you hiring right now?

Availability changes week to week. Send your details and we will tell you honestly where things stand rather than sitting on your application.

What areas would I work in?

Anywhere across our ten service-area cities, though we try to keep people close to home rather than sending them across the region.
